Actually a very solid game. Only initial complaint is that vehicle controls aren't inverted.

Change it in the settings.

Because that's how planes work. Down is up, up is down.

that's funny, though--i hear the reason a lot of people dislike inverted controls is because it's "illogical"
but for planes, it's... absolutely fine

like, you'd think that wouldn't make a difference if that's how planes work in real life--'cause that's still unintuitive

I played a single match yesterday and I turned the system off once it was done with. That was one of the most boring things I've played. I've spent a great deal of time looking for someone to kill and it's bullshit that you have to unlock vehicles, weapons and equipment. God forbid the class system stayed in place and the vehicles are located on the map like the other games.

Will it have bots for matches? Sometimes I just want to fight AI.

I liked what I played of it, but it unfortunately seems to be the first game of what's to come, where it's too big for my shiternet to cope even slightly

The vehicles are all located on the map, you have to go and pick them up and call them in.

Doesn't help there's 19 other dudes running about and you don't know where they are or how to get to them in time. It's a dumb design.

Vehicles physically being on the ground changed game play. For one, they had multiple occupants in some, which was pretty fun. Also, you could destroy enemy aircraft that hadnt been used yet to keep them from taking off as a form of map control.

It looks well and plays well. I really liked it, and i can't wait to buy it.


And honestly, It doesn't feel like a battlefield re-skin to me. I mean yea, theres a few similar mechanics, but calling it a battlefield clone is a shit opinion.

I feel like it was a Michael Bay movie constantly except for when I got the pilot the things, which was close to never cause the game won't tell you where they spawn and kamikazes get them first.

Managed to win a Walker Assault game as the rebels by the first checkpoint

We absolutely dominated that game

Had like 12 Y-Wings worth of time to kill the AT-ATs

I played Walker Assault for about 2 hours last night, and I won 90% of the matches I played. Hoth isn't that unbalanced to either team, it really depends on unison.

Because people playing the first day or two of a new game and not fully knowing the mechanics. By this point of the beta, people are figuring things out.

MGO had a similar problem the first few days of people playing it like a shooter with stealth mechanics instead of a stealth game with shooter mechanics. These things fix themselves, it's not all on the developer that a player sucks at something.

And it goes the other way too, by the way. Imperial lose when they can't maintain air-dominance. It's a test of team unison, like I said earlier; the team that is better coordinated wins.

Learn where the spawns are for each objective-stage; spawns reappear whenever a currently-flying plane crashes. If people kamikaze-ing is a problem for you, then it shouldn't take long for a token to show up.

People always use the Cyclorifle/default blaster combo from what I've seen. Part of that might just be because the beta only offers like two primary weapons per faction, and one is a pistol.

I don't know what game you're playing but 99% of people use the DLT.

Also, it doesn't help when anytime I spawn I either die in 3 seconds, or go to where I learned a pick up is and it gets taken 10 ft from me. Or actually get in a fighter and before it lets me move I get killed or taken to 1/2 health.

I think I'm done with this trash demo.
