I don't give much of a shit about how much of a true (totally not a battlefield) battlefront game it is, it's fun to play and that's what counts.

They aren't. Actually, by the time of A New Hope none of them are. The Empire phased out clones in favor of recruits shortly after Revenge of The Sith.

They still used clones, but they began to adopt new templates and accept recruits after a failed uprising on Kamino. But the Fett clones eventually got largely phased out as they died in combat, leaving the 501st/ Vaders Fist as the only Fett legion for the longest time.

They still used clones to field and train a large number of soldiers in a short amount of time, but they came from a number of templates and were supplemented by recruits. They never phased them out entirely.

That's old EU, non canon. I'm talking about what is actually canon.

Erm, actually it's kind of an important difference.

Lasers travel at lightspeed, plasma doesn't.

It's also really hard to win as the rebels in Walker Assault, they need to drop the health of those AT-ATs

the beta just didn't have any of the good anti-vehicle thing

Rockets, sniper, and turrets deal a lot of damage to vehicles.

They didn't have the grenade launcher or the ion torpedoes though

Walker Assault favours Imperials way too much imo. Not sure if that's for canonical purposes but fucking hell, getting demolished by AT-AT's, Walkers, Tie Fighters etc practically renders the Rebels unplayable.

Maybe I'm just shit at multiplayer games idk. Just isn't very enjoyable tbh.

Pretty meh, to be honest.

The drop pod mode is pretty forgettable. I was really hoping for more of the large-scale maps that the previous Battlefront titles had. Walker Assault is pretty fun, but I do miss bots on the field. I think Titanfall did bots in a modern shooter setting pretty well, and something similar would be nice here.

Graphics and audio are really sharp. Gameplay is definitely not a Battlefield clone, and I really like that kills take more than a couple shots unlike a game like Destiny where deaths are very quick.

A few of the 501st (what a cool name) knew about the chip thing the Emperor did and learned of his whole plan, and defected to the Rebels. They're in season 2 of that disney one, which is ACTUALLY not bad.

Clone troopers were largely retired from service in the decade after Order 66, with conscripted or volunteer soldiers mostly becoming the force of the Empire. Very few remained in service by the time that ANH started, because of their accelerated aging process. I don't know how familiar you are with Star Wars canon, but Rex and a few other clones managed to learn about the conspiracy against the Jedi and come to help the Rebellion later on (Clones in the new canon were forced to obey Order 66 by inhibitor chips placed in their brains, and once the order was made, they basically became brain-dead slaves to Palpatine, they never would have turned against the Jedi on their own). There isn't a problem with there being female stormtroopers.

The 501st as an organization is still canon. Them being composed of clones, however, is not.

The EU wipe made EVERYTHING noncanon, not just post-RoTJ stuff. Certain elements of the old EU are being reintroduced, however. Just not that one.

I don't believe that's true. They still make references to it in the canon stuff like I just linked.

The game sounds phenomenal. Throw on a good set of headphones and it's totally immersive.

The game also looks very nice, with the two levels available being completely different from one another.

The gameplay is a bit weak though. There's a lot of spawn trapping even in the beta. Unfortunately it also suffers from the same problems I have with battlefield, too many players, not enough focusing on the objective.

It's hard to be an impact player when you're one of forty. I can't tell you how annoying it is to be the only person on your team doing anything. This has always been one of the major problems I have with the battlefield series.

Anyway I probably won't be picking it up but mostly because of the type of game it is, not so much how well they pulled it off.

Well then what's the problem?

I'm crossmapping people with ease, the laser guns basically fire themselves. The only one that takes a modicum of skill is the cycle rifle and that's just because the reticule/zoom is wonky in 3rd person.

Compared to battlefield 4, the gunplay in this is for toddlers.

At least, as far as I can tell. I did that near the end of a round. and I never got to see the point total because it just kept on going and going and going >.>
