Previously every planet had one map with a possible space battle (that doesn't really change anything besides what planet is below you); unless they've otherwise said that there's more than one location per planet, we have to go by what Battlefront has always done: planet = map.

The campaign in the original games was literally just multiplayer with the computer. Battlefront's main attraction has always been multiplayer. Not sure why everyone is getting so upset over that, it'd be like getting upset over a CoD or Battlefield for not having a good campaign.

ohhh okay that makes sense. i just have to wait for some actual gameplay the idea of battlefield and star wars is very interesting so i'm hoping it's going to be good

Except that Galactic Conquest was more than just a series of multiplayer battles because it also added in the "board game" view of the star charts and choices in which soldiers/bonuses you want to buy and weighing that against more ships.

Also no space battles, which is horseshit. At worst they could have just ported the jet-only gamemode from BF4 and reskinned them as fighters/the map as space.

Now that I think about it, that's probably DLC pack one. Only $19.99!

Has it been confirmed you go to every spot on the planet or is it a few areas?

And even so the big galaxy that star wars takes place, 4 planets isn't a whole lot.

So many assumptions

If a game series had always treated a planet as a map, that's all we have to go by until they say otherwise. If it's changed they can always come out and reclarify it. But until something changes, it is the same.
