i'd like to remind everyone that no one will ever be as straight up gangsta as i was when i made it to freeside at level 2 in new vegas

I made it to the strip at level one and I took the death claw route.

I  still don't know how I made it.

i didnt even know that freeside existed, and that it stood in the way of me and the strip

the sight of the strip's illuminated skyline against the night horizon was the only thing that kept my pitifully underequipped self going against all those super mutants, deathclaws, giant ants and fiends, and the discovery that i didn't have immediate access to new vegas' pre-war gem was one of the most soul crushing things to have ever happened to me in a video game

yeah same, on my first play through I saw the lucky 38 in the distance and I B-lined for it.

Did it involve jumping along the cliffs?
That's what I did. Bethesda geometry is pretty great for sherpa mode.
