I've beaten City and Asylum on hard and New Game Plus. That's all fine, the combat in Knight is the same, and that's all well and good but I think towards the end it does get a bit overwhelming and annoying, especially in the Own the Road checkpoints. It's fun fighting loads of enemies using different ways, but they start cramming together those shielded guys with the big armored guys, then those guys with stun batons and it quickly goes from fun to really annoying.

Often I'll be going to hit a regular mook but then Batman will home in on a stun stick guy instead and get shocked, then immediately hit by an armored guy, then bashed by a shield. I know the difficulty is supposed to increase towards the end, but come on.


Did anyone else have this problem?

The Electro gun thingy from City makes the stun baton guys x10 easier. Yo u can punch the glass in the Evidence Room at GCPD to get it.

Yea I got that and it's what I use, but it can get pretty mad when there's 2 of them plus like 3 shield guys :|

The freeze grenade makes things a lot easier as well, I use it on either the large things or shields.

Elaborate, I may have experienced something similar. My counters don't always connect against the big armored guys.

Is it anything like the previous games? Because Arkham Asylum + City were a boring counter attack fest.

Knight's combat requires you to rely on more than your counter button/key. As OP said, there is a lot of variety among enemies in each fight. You're gonna have to adapt and change your attacks about every second.

That being said, it's still a Batman game. I haven't met anyone that's hated the combat system, but if you didn't like Asylum or City (somehow) then I guess it would only make sense for you to not enjoy Knight either.

(Knight is still a pretty damn fun game)

The insta-dismantle combo is "square+triangle". That combo is harder to reach than "x+circle", which does not have a combo assigned to it. They should have reassigned the insta-dismantle to "x+circle".

Those aren't buttons on a controller though.

Okay so I looked it up, and those seem to be the buttons on a playstation controller, which doesn't make sense to me, because Arkham Knight is a game, and PS3/4 doesn't have games...
