Dead Money is really starting to piss me off (fallout new vegas)

it's kind of frustrating that i keep getting wrecked by these gas bombing, spear-throwing ghost faggots even though i'm a level 33 with maxed out strength and melee weapons...and it doesn't help that the plasma rifle you have to start with only has like 24 shots and that there aren't any other guns you can find (not that i know of, at least)

idk if i'm doing it completely wrong or if it's just supposed to be annoyingly-difficult...

i collect the fucking chips, i've bought at least 15-20 stimpaks from the vending a machines already

and i haven't had any luck finding any guns, just knives and other low level melee weapons

holorfile is sweet with high energy weapons. I just used that and had the perks that let you craft and recycle energy weapons ammo

i never use energy weapons so i never bothered to level up that skill :-(

out of stimpaks, down to less than half hp, 2 broken legs...despite all of this i somehow managed to run past a fuckload of ghosts and make it to the Villa

Dead Money is supposed to be really hard, that's part of the appeal. Look for the survival caches, they're usually filled with ammo and stimpaks. And yeah, if you're trying to win every fight, you're doing it wrong. You should constantly be in sneak and trying to avoid enemies.

Once you get into the casino, it gets easier and the story picks up. It's really a great DLC, and the end is amazing.

That's the whole point if the DLC, to be mind numbingly difficult with a lot of quicksaves to ultimately reach a reward you can't take (under normal circumstances...).

The theme of "letting go" wouldn't work if the effort into reaching the vault wasn't monumental, to make you think you deserve the gold.

yeah once i entered the casino it became a lot easier, and i agree with the amazing ending

too bad i wasn't able to take all those gold bars tho, i could've been filthy rich

When you start Dead Money all your weapons are taken away, but you're given a plasma rifle(holorifle).
