Exactly. This year has pretty much made me reconsider the entire practice of pre-ordering games. Luckily, I didn't go for the Destiny pre-order, but I did get hit with the MCC disappointment.

That's not actually all that of a bad idea, seeing as the PS4 sold out completely for a good few months to the point where most retailers weren't even able to fulfil all preorders at launch and they had to stagger it >.>
