Dark Souls 2's repetitive length is better since NG+ with new items is a thing, more spells/weapons/whateverbut I'll be hard pressed to say the atmosphere and story are better. In fact yeah, they both fall on their asses in DS2 until the DLC comes around.

New Game+ was essentially the place where you started to get cool shit and actual easy access to things. Which made it kind of gay. It's like they built the game and pvp around new game+.

PvP matchmaking and all that is better in 2, but they absolutely KILLED builds with soul memory.

I dunno what to do there so I traveled up to the firelink shrine to see if I could save but the firekeeper is gone.well like tru said you can kill him later but if you really want him to stop attacking you then go to bell tower where you fought those two gargoyles and speak to the npc inside the tower, you can buy this thing with souls to reset the dude at firelinkHe's dead so yeah....Why would you kill him? Why would you kill ANY friendly NPC's unless you literally found out they were killers?

I didn't know the concept of allies in battle, because I had killed all who offered their help.

How do you not understand the concept of allies in battle? If someone talks to you and doesn't attack you, maybe they have something to say. This isn't just Dark Souls, it's any game.

This isn't just Dark Souls, it's any game.Yes, and maybe they also have cool gear that I used throughout the whole game.SpoilerLooking at the guy who praises the sun.Funny story about me killing people so quickly:I had just come out of a lot of battles, and I had like no health left, and no estus flasks, but I talked to this guy, and then I attacked him and won. I used his body armour for the rest of the game.I had nothing special on me. My main gear was: armour of "Solair"- is that his name? - Gauntlets and boots of whatever, Zweihandr from start to finish, and then varying second weapons, and varying shields.I only let two NPCs live. Ay Zwimae guy, and the guy above the ghost church in Anno LondoEasiest boss battle was the dreaded Smough and Ornstein. I can't believe people thought they were hard. I died like 3 times, but I realized how to beat them after the first time. The other times I died was from nervousness.
Wow T6, a little aggressive? Take a deep breath and calm down with me.
