That was made by Blur. Those high quality models can't be put in a game. Sure, 343i could have made new ones. But they didn't.

It's not like they can't be tweaked. The gameplay models in H2A are basically the same thing.

Canonically the "Storm Armor" was just an armor harness that the Covenant simply didn't use much durring the war and after the war ended, it was what got scavanged from the Covenant's remains. It's not really relegated to either side. Both sides use it but Arby's faction has more of the Classic armor.

In reality 343 were just too lazy to implement both models or just didn't care, and left it up to the Canon Fodder guy to come up with an excuse.

Too lazy to import a Plasma Rifle/repeater tag when sandbox-wise it's going to be inconsequential I guess.

I don't like their Elite Armour models except for Arbiter's Headdress either. Even in H2A their heads look too whale-like, I prefer the old Halo 1-3 minor armour as well as Reach's Elite models.

Remember the opening oh Halo 4 where the Elites had Storm armor and plasma rifes and post-war banshies and the Spartan 2s were all wearing John's modified Mark-VI when they should have been wearing Mark IV at best

And let's not even get started on Fall of Reach animated which was about as canon breaking as Halo Reach in some places.

Yeah same, but the H2A models were at least an improvement from everything else that's come from 343i.

Yeah their heads have gotten more wide, mandibles more jagged and thicker, just lots of little changes

It's the same thing with Halo 2A. I know Bungie was lazy with the heretic flood but 33 should have made the heretic flood look like hertic flood this time. To me it defeats the purpose of making the game look better when they were too lazy to do a simply model change that would make that level look better. In CEA 343 replaced the CE models with Reach ones so there is no reason why they couldn't swap out the covenant flood form for a heretic form for that level.

Basically. All the weapons manufacturers manufacture the same designs. Combine that with stuff like the storm rifle being superior to the plasma rifle and repeater, as well as each faction capturing the armaments of the other, leads to both having very similar equipment.

Personally, I think it's a lazy explanation but hey, new models take time to make. And it's pretty damn obvious 343 ra out of time making halo 5 as it was.

None of the equipment they're using is exclusive to Jul's faction.
The armour existed before Jul's faction even existed. It isn't "Storm" armour. Storm is a rank, not the name of Jul's faction.

The Storm Rifle is just the newer version of the outdated Plasma Rifle.

The armour being worn by the Spartan-II's in the prologue was declared a non-canonical appearance. Canonically, they're wearing MK IV.

The Type 26B Banshee isn't a post-war Banshee either. It was used to a small degree before the Human-Covenant War even started. It became more widespread during the last few years of the War because Humanity had destroyed a huge amount of the older models.

It actually is.
The models used by Axis Animation for Halo 4's CG were just incredibly high poly and high-res versions of the ones used in-game.

The models used in H2A's CG would need to be downscaled.
Plus the models already exist in-game anyway, so it's unnecessary.
