This happens every year. People always try and take credit for PSN and XBL servers being overloaded with people on break from school, on holiday, or getting a new console.

In the event this is legit though my prediction is that PSN will go completely down due to it being utterly archaic while XBL suffers minor hiccups due to its modern and more modular nature.

Well, last year when both servers got fucked, Live on Xbox 360 had no issues.

Welp, happy I built a computer for Christmas this year.

This happened last year when I got my x1, and the year before that when I got my Wii U(although that wasn't because of ddosing). These consoles are useless out of the box without internet. Sucks for anyone hoping to enjoy console gaming this Christmas, these services are really incompetent.
