Two Zelda questions

So me and my older brother have been arguing about Zelda lore. It started when he stated that Skyward Sword does not have a Ganon fight. I of course responded saying that the final boss is a Ganon fight. He tries to claim that it is not a Ganon fight because in Skyward Sword his name is Lord Demise. We went back and fourth with a reasons why and my brother brought up Hyrule Warriors, that argument came and went but I am asking you guys now. Does the final fight in Skyward Sword count as a Ganon fight? and where does Hyrule Warriors go on the Zelda timeline?

hyrule warriors is not canon (thankfully)

Ganon didn't exist until OOC in the timeline.
Skyward Sword is at the beginning of the timeline.

IIRC Ganon is sort of a fragment of Demise.

It's not Ganon. Just because Demise was the progenitor, doesn't make him Ganon. Both in spirit and physical form.

Pretty sure Demise says something about being reincarnated, so Ganon is a different iteration of Demise, or so I think.

Hyrule Warriors is a spin-off, so it more than likely isn't canon.

Hyrule Warriors is not canon.

Lord Demise isn't Ganon. I'm pretty sure Demise is an ancestor/reincarnation of Ganon, though.
