The last game I preordered was Destiny, but that was from years and years ago.Do you blame me? I was a child then. Naive.
Arkham Knight is the only one that can be trusted.

Preordering is showing support for the company. Will I do it for a game that's a piece of shit? No. Will I do it for tthe next portal or L4D? Maybe.
I'm with Psy, if fallout 4 is announced the struggle will be real.

It shows that you're willing to fork over money for a game that's not finished, which gives developers less of a reason to make the game work.Pre-ordering hurts the industry.

For example, I plan to preorder Battlefront. You know why? Because there has never been a Star Wars game with a shitty story, even the gritty ones.I highly doubt Battlefront will break this example, you know why? Because the story team over at Lucasfilm is keeping DICE and EA in check to bring a good Star Wars experience.

The story isn't going to mean much when your campaign progress is going to get reseted and the main part of the game which is the MP is going to be broken. Showing blind faith into a developer is retarded. we know what the launches for BF3 and BF4 were like so having this blind faith into Battlefront is asinine. The only thing you and others are doing by pre-ordering this is showing developers you are giving into the hype instead of waiting to see what the game ends up being. If you people actually waited to see what the game is like when it is released then these developers wouldn't be making games that are badly broken or unfinished. They would actually have to try at them and include the cut or hold back content. Look at what Destiny turned out to be. You people that blindly pre-order are risking games to be like that.

That doesn't excuse pre-ordering.You're also pre-ordering from EA.I'm a big fan of Halo, yet I don't pre-order them because I don't want to buy a game that has the possibility to be bad or broken. If it is broken, then pre-ordering it just shows MS that people will buy it regardless of how functional it is.Even if Battlefront does have a good story, that won't mean shit if the game is anything like what BF4 was when it released. Even if you don't play the multiplayer, you absolutely should not be okay with that portion being broken just because you don't play it.You shouldn't pre-order. Trust and reputation means absolutely nothing.
Pre-ordering after the game has gone gold completely removes the issues you bring up.
Quote from: Snake on February 20, 2015, 08:18:14 PMPre-ordering after the game has gone gold completely removes the issues you bring up.No it doesn't.A game going gold doesn't magically mean it'll be functional on launch, or won't be complete and utter shit. You're still putting blind faith into a game and developer in the hopes that the game isn't fucked.
It shouldn't be assumed everything is broken until proven otherwise.
