I know I'm late to the party on this but survival mode is pretty fun
Wish the UI was a little more informative on how much food or water lowered your starvation / dehydration though

I've been having a lot more fun in survival but yeah, they could do with a stat reader like FNV HC so you can see how hungry/thirsty you are. I can live without it mind you, and the sleep-saving hasn't been as arduous as I thought it would be.

Just no fast travel... fug I never realised how much I used it until now, hauling my arse back to sanctuary does get a bit tedious at times.

The load time of textures in this game takes forever to load in, so a lot of it looks like blocky plastic stuff.

The Kellogg bossfight was a nightmare on Survival because he can just one-shot you with his magnum or just continuously spam grenades at you.

The only time I have legitly not felt bad about stealth-boy fatman comboing someone without even talking to them.

I shot one over the stairs/computers to get him wright in the benis, then he charged me so i let nick slow him down in the hallway while i aimed the next nuke. Sorry nick but needs must ;-;7

I intend to bring along a similarly cheap tactic for when i fight him this time around.

One time I fast-traveled to Goodneighbor and for some reason all the residents were hostile towards me.

KLEO disintegrated me with her death star laser beam.

I too am against the use of the Children of Atom. What started off as a small cult of bomb worshippers in Megaton has turned into a far too serious and militant faction in the course of 10 years. I also don't understand how they got all the way to Maine. It's as if Bethesda was too lazy to create another faction, which would have been better. Then again, it is Bethesda.

Bethesda's factions in general are pretty poorly developed in Fallout 4. Not particularly interesting either IMO.

The flechette harpoon gun is broke, only spends one ammo to fire multiples, but you can loot the ammo back from the bodies and it gives you the multiples, so it just generates more and more ammo.

Started my new game with mods and was getting the tutorial combat Concord out of the way. Deathclaw kills me since it's survival, and now I gotta do it ALLLLL over again.

I've been playing for like 2 seconds so far and I'm already pissed off. I have that god damn Mole Rat Disease and there's a pill icon in the bottom right of my screen and my inner OCD is kicking in cause I want it gone but I already gave the cure to the kid.

What idiot at Bethesda thought it was a good idea to put that on the screen instead of keeping it in the Pipboy?

Completed the Far Habour main quest.

Spoiler

Blew up the Children of Atom to ensure that they never appear in a Fallout game again.

Convinced DiMA to confess to the murder of Avery and subsequently be executed.

Made sure that Far Harbour realised that the rest of Acadia was innocent.

All in all a happy ending.

Brotherhood orientated Far Harbour spoilers

So I finished Far Harbour in the interest of the Brotherhood, and it was pretty glitchy. Knight Captain Larsen and the 3 other Brotherhood soldiers refused to assault Acadia with me, not that I needed the help but it was kinda lame doing it solo. And then by dealing with Acadia that way, it fails the quest where I oust Captain Avery as a synth. I thought oh well, I can still just kill her scummy synthness myself, but nope she is a protected character and doesn't die.

Oh and apparently the missing girl isn't a synth but I'm not allowed to tell her that. I tried doing these things before the Brotherhood assault but it would fail the Brotherhood quest if I did that. Also I guess the Brotherhood isn't interested in a fucking Nuclear Submarine so I have to explode it.

A slight complaint I have about the DLC that could get worse if Bethesda goes in this direction. (quest spoilers)

Bethesda needs to tone down the supernatural shit. There's a quest where you're guided by one of Atom's holy figures after drinking from a spring, implying that the CoA's belief's are more than just craziness. This isn't the same as the sequence in Point Lookout where you were drugged up and hallucinating shit; this was the player literally being chosen by a god and guided to a place holy to the religion. The supernatural shit should stay as hints in side quests rather than being outright confirmed. Aliens were bad enough already. The Lovecraftian references that Bethesda seems to love were fine (i.e. Dunwich) because they were more hidden secrets and easter eggs that didn't play a part in the main quest and were canonically ambiguous.

I have this game and the witcher along with all the dlc for both. I played the witcher for about and hour and it seems pretty clunky . Should I stick with the witcher or Should I play this on survival mode/normal mode

Play whichever you enjoy most, like I 'should' be playing TW3 right now to do hearts of stone ready for blood and wine but I'm having a blast on fallout so it can wait really.

Forcing yourself to play something when you want to play something else is kinda counterproductive for down-time tbh

Give survival mode a shot though, it's a bit of a bitch to get used to the sleep-saving but you do alter the way you play to factor in bed locations/searching for beds as checkpoints rather than just yoloing through the wasteland.
