Just repelled a raider attack at Abernathy Farm. Fun stuff, there were quite a lot of them.

One thing I've noticed with the radiant quest 'Cleansing the Commonwealth' is that it resets the entire area.

Enemies of course, but loot as well.

Since it's given me the same location twice in a row, I assume this can happen more than once and it basically means you get to clean out the same location as many times as you feel like doing the quest.

One thing I'll credit them with for that quest though, is they made a radiant quest with a decent reliable reward and it's fun to do. Massacring your way through 20 odd enemies to get 250xp + 100 caps + Loot/Killxp = E.E

I imagine this might be fixed soon though, so uh exploit away if that's your inclination >_>

What's the point in doing "Kill X group of enemies" quests for factions when it doesn't even affect progression within the faction?

Like, I'm already a knight aboard the Prydwen and I still haven't completed the quests for those scribe faggots at the police station despite being told I wasn't able to advance beyond initiate if I didn't do them.

The game really needs some kind of faction mechanic ala new vegas.

It's good money for doing them, though. Picking up tech documents and blood samples is easy enough while looting.

But even Thieves Guild did their radiants better. Doing enough in each city would eventually give the Guild a presence there.

I love how the TV has the Jimmy and the Fat Man advertisement from Fallout 3's launch before you go see Shaun. And ut turns out you can fail the beginning; if you try to run away from Sanctuary past the LAV, then the nuke goes pff and kills you.

25 hours clocked and I still don't understand what the Minutemen's aspirations are.

It's pretty obvious that The Railroad want to liberate synths, and the BoS want tech, but the only description we're given for the Minutemen's goals are 'freedumbs.'

Something like that, it seems they want to make the commonwealth into a 1776 location where everyone lives safely and looks out for each other and farms stuff and plays nice and nobody is mean because it's totes feasible.

They shouldn't even be a faction, they should just be an organization you can help throughout the game by building settlements. Assigning the PC as the general of the Minutemen 5 minutes into the game was pretty silly.

The Minutemen are only there in case you fuck up your relationships with the other factions, kind of like Independent in Fallout: NV.

Except Independent was objectively the best option whereas Minutemen are the worst.
