this reminds me of a weird interaction i had with my indian biology professor a few semesters ago

setting: my college, 8 PM, on a cold and windy winter night. i just got out of bio, and i went to my car to drive home. after walking all the way across the parking lot, i find out to my great displeasure that my car wont start- i need a jump. so, i survey the parking lot for potential aid: none to be seen, but wait! who is that figure a couple hundred feet away? oh shit its my professor!

so, i jog over to her and explain that my car is dead and i need a jump. she looks at me, says "oh sure ok i think i have some cables." excellent, my problems are solved! she opens her trunk, gets the cables, hands them to me, gets in her car and drives off.

i had to get the campus police to jump me after that, and then i had to return her cables the next week. i should have kept them/

This. But I have one in a small class this semester and he's pretty good.

I chose it because it was easy. Now almost a year after graduation I'm working at a KMart. I hoped to get a Technical Writer position for an IT company and interviewed last month, but didn't get it...oh well. Don't major in history kids. If you want to be a teacher it's fine though.

Do you think you could get a teaching job if you wanted one?

No, because it's too much money that I don't have, $26,000.

Too much time, a year and a half where you can't work. And I hate kids.

all you have to do is get a teaching certificate with your history major and you're qualified to teach at most any public school
