Invading another country and killing people is murder, if you want to sugar coat the shit to make it easier for you to sleep at night then what ever floats your boat. But the fact is those "good people" stop being good people when they pick up a gun and shoot at people defending their country.

I'm afraid you're the ones with the closed minds, you never want to accept that you're military is a bunch of murderers. But I guess as long as it's not Americans they're killing it's all well and good and "not murder".

Necessary, they had to compromise. It was either that or get overwhelmed by the  Reich. But you said that all soldiers, of any kind, are monsters while the veterans of the Second World War fought a war for the Allies, minus the Soviets, where they people, they must be evil or something.

I could even say that several Germans fighting for Nazi Germany were not Nazis. They fought not for the Nazi ideals but for their families and country, some of them weren't even born in Germany they just happened to have had parents from Germany and were recalled back to fight for the Wehrmacht.

That still doesn't justify it.

   I just read the through this whole thread, and all I can say is lol. Not everyone in the military kills people. A lot of people join the military because they feel like they are doing something right. For example, the Iraq war was supposed to be a "war on terror" because of 9-11. Tons of people joined up. Because they thought that we were attacked by them. But we all know that was just a ploy to get Iraq's oil.
  Not everyone joins the military to "go murder people". There are tons of military positions that don't involve even going into combat. Also, the soldiers that do actually kill people don't do it because they like it, anyone who does has some serious issues. Why do you think most combat troops  that come back from a tour have PTSD and other mental issues,because they had to kill someone.     
   You're acting like everyone that joins the military is a sadistic prick that thinks war is going to be like a game of black ops 2. Which is not the case, tons of people in the past were drafted and had to go fight a war they didn't even think was justified in the first place, are they murderers too? The rest of my post addresses that. Perhaps that went over your head? People went over there because they thought were attacks by Iraq first, and that they were just defending their country from future attacks. The bush presidency knew that this wasn't the case though,the soldiers did not.Also,there were soldiers that were set there that weren't supposed to be there i.e the national guard. When they were sent there the combat troops HAD to kill people. It's what they were sent there to do. And since the soldiers were lied to and told that we were attacked first, they didnt think they were just going into someone's country and attacking for nothing other than their oil. You fail to realize  that not everything is black and white. You can't say everyone in combat was a murderer when you don't even know whether they joined willingly or they were force to. There are people like the national guard that were forced to go fight in the Iraq war when they weren't even supposed to in the first place, there were soldiers that thought they were defending their country from any future terrorist attacks because they were lied to by their government and then there are those that said "Ima go kill me some sand niggers!" And joined for no reason other than to inflict pain on others and kill.
You need to stop seeing things so narrow and black and white when there's a much bigger picture. I'm done arguing with you, since this seems impossible for you to do.

Its war. That happens in a WAR, its the act of a country fighting another country in military conflict. People are going to die no matter what unless the LEADERS of the countries say otherwise.

Before I go, by your logic does this mean the Iraqis defending their country are murderers too? Since most US soldiers joined the war because they thought that they were preventing any future attack from the Iraqis even though we were never attacking them in the first place. This is  defending your country is it not?
So basically the Iraqis aren't murderers but the US soldiers are? They were both defending their country. And according to you if you are defending your country by killing invaders you're not a murderer.
