You know what really pisses me off?

When a god damn series decides to blue ball an ending, or end the series with some cliff hanger to try and fish for a second season, my wife wanted to marathon a 'romantic comedy' anime tonight, and the series itself was good, great characters, a good story, and then the ending just leaves the main plot point and the two leads out in the water, trying to fish for a second season! it's happened with fucking Blue Exorcist, one of my favourite premises for an anime in the past while, and it even happens in games too, with the likes of Halo 3 back in 07 with the legendary ending, and other series too.

Space Dandy is 2 seasons, like 26 episodes, and its already over.

some only need that 12 episodes, hell, some movies I've seen pull off stories and satisfying endings than half the anime I've seen, more series need to end off and complete their stories in 12 episodes, I mean if you can't pull off what redline, or Sword of the stranger could in 1 or 2 hours, with 12 episodes, your series needs more than 1 season, and you need to plan ahead for that.

bane of my wife's existence right now, she's been ranting for an hour about the fact that the show we were watching, Mayo Chiki doesn't seem to have a second season, and she's almost just quitting romantic comedies over it.

Though in all honesty it went downhill about 1/3 of the way through and never recovered, so I guess you could say it was less of a drop in quality and more of a steady decline.

I was happy with it, sure, the quality did decline, but I think it was more around the halfway mark.

I love my wife, why would I see her as a ball and chain? neither of us are really being weighed down by the relationship, or by each other, so there's no imprisonment involved in this at all.

I just wish they didn't waste that 13th episode on a 'the bitch with the glasses fetish' as my wife so kindly puts it. and instead did what they should've and ended the damned story.
