First I'd want info on said stranger's background. If he's a fucked up dude, I keep muh pinky.

If he's a good guy/girl, I'll cut my pinky off, save it, and rush to the nearest hospital to get it back on while dragging the stranger with me. (So he gets to the police department to we can get the asshole arrested.
