Daily reminder Fives is the true hero of the Clone Wars era

That scene gave a heartbreak seeing Five sacrificing himself ;(
Do you watch Rebels, by any chance? Because Rex, Wolfe, and Gregor are still alive. And they all removed their chips because of Fives' warning.

I haven't saw Season 2 yet. But I already knew that Rex, Wolfe, and Gregor are still alive, and it's great seeing them again. Also that explains why there not with the empire (the chip they removed).

TESB is best
ANH is great
ROTJ is alright, the scenes involving the Emperor, Vader and Luke are amazing, but the ewoks and a second Death Star bring it down.
ROTS is bleh
TPM is bad. It's awful, but at the very least it feels confident enough in it's own ability to be Star Wars that it doesn't feel the need to assault you with familiar imagery.
AOTC is the worst. It's insulting in a way TPM isn't, realizing that the previous film wasn't well received it feels it must shove a bunch of nostalgic imagery in your face, in the process ruining everything. TPM is like a retarded child proudly showing you it's sculpture made of shit. AOTC is a dimwitted whore who thinks that if she wears your dead wife's favorite perfume and clothes you won't be able to tell the difference.

This is not the greatest sig in the world, no. This is just a tribute.
AotC was great, you faggots.
The Geonosis battle was great. The rest of the movie however wasn't so great.
Nonsense. It was all pretty entertaining.
The Coruscant speeder chase, finding Kamino, Natalie Portman, JANGO FETT, space battles, Natalie Portman, the mystery of a dead jedi ordering a clone army, the droid factory infiltration, Natalie Portman, Annie going back to Taooine, Natalie Portman...

They actually still served the Empire for a while, even with their chips out. I mean, they didn't really have anywhere else to go.

How did they manage to escape the empire, just curious.

Still really do not like that whole chip thing at all... then again, I'm also generally very hard on the Clone Wars tv show for basically being what cancelled the Republic Commando novel series

I think Empire is really underrated in this thread. Sure it doesn't have any huge spectacles or space battles, but it has some of the most iconic scenes in cinema history and really fleshed out the universe. It was a fantastic sequel, and arguably the deepest film in the franchise so far.

Most of it, yes. But no, there are good reasons why the prequels will never be good as the originals. Maybe you won't see it but for people who grown up with the Original Trilogy will know why the prequels are shit (like I said, EP3 is the only thing good in the shit prequels.)

So the empire basically kicked them out, would make since considering how old they are.

OP has the most generic, conformist opinion ever.

You are either just saying this to be a special little cum stain who has a unique opinion or you have the shittiest taste in cinema

Honestly, what's wrong with having an opinion that a majority share?

Oh, you're mostly right. I was mainly reading your posts, I guess. It's become pretty popular these days to shit on Empire for being boring, though. I guess it hasn't caught on much on here yet.

You know, I didn't like the original trilogy when I was a kid that much (Alien was more so my sci-fi jam as a kid). When Phantom Menace came out though, I thought it was garbage. Then AoTC came out and I loved it (because I ignored the romance), then when I saw III I just thought "meh"

Going by that, my list would look like (Greatest --> Worst:)
II, III, VI, V, IV, I

Then I rewatched the entire series (sans the first because I despise it) and remarked how awful the prequels were. However, that was after I'd been exposed to popular consensus and moreover, I watched them with a friend who's a fan of Star Wars.
So I don't really know what my order is now :\
I'd have to go back and rewatch them all myself and try to be as open as possible (even to the... Phantom Menace).

Thanks for making me consider this more, Verb.

Well, with regards to what you said, I don't really factor in a scene's "iconic"-ness when judging movies. What's iconic about Empire, anyway? We have the Vader reveal, the Hoth battle that everyone seems to like so much, and... I can't really think of anything else. It was that unmemorable to me. What else was iconic, and why should they be considered reasons for the film's apparent quality?

Not true

While some people do just say shit to be on the bandwagon, there is nothing wrong with sharing a popular opinion

It doesn't show any lack of originality or self thought
It just means that they like something which other people happen to like too

In fact, the hipsters with all those unpopular opinions might be more lacking in thought since they just like to disagree with popular opinions just for the sake of it
