Ummmm. Nothing much. I live just by a lake, and in the summer, painted turtles occasionally crawl out of it (sometimes a little bit too far beyond the shore for their safety), so when I was little, and everything was still fascinating and new, I was naturally super excited to see a turtle for the first time in the flesh (and having them living practically "next door", no less).

So what do I do to it?

...Um, nothing horrible, but... I carried it over to my backyard, told it to stay, went back into my house, got one of my mother's empty clothes baskets (without asking first, of course; she ended up needing it) and trapped the turtle under it. Because I wanted it--it came to me, so it obviously wanted me to keep it as a pet. I used a clothes basket because it had a lot of room, and it had "breather holes". I thought I was being smart--I've heard the horror stories of kids accidentally killing their dogs after leaving them in their parents' cars unattended.

Then my mother comes. I'm smiling like a dumbass, about to tell her all about Squirtle, expecting her to be proud of me--particularly for having the foresight to give the poor thing some air to breathe. Instead of being impressed, though, she's just hollering at me, asking what the fuck I did with her clothes basket, now it's all dirty, what are you doing to that turtle, let it go this instant, you're in big trouble, etc. etc. etc.

So I released it near the lake. And that's how I learned that turtles really aren't as slow as they are in the cartoons.

I kept a turtle in captivity once, but I let it go after my mother noticed that I took her clothes basket.

If you honestly wanted to piss off a vegan, challengerX, you went about the weakest and most pussy way to do it. You're posting reality. Even if you posted a video of yourself eating meat, I would applaud you for not wasting the suffering that the animal endured. The only execrable thing you've done is give your money to industries that slaughter and kill animals--the sort of thing you probably wouldn't do if you actually saw the cow you were about to eat getting brutally killed in front of you.
