Once I finish The Martian, I'm not sure. I'm torn between three choices: Isaac Asimov's Foundation (but then I would have to read the rest of the series), Ringworld by Larry Niven, or 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke, which was my grandfather's movie tie-in edition that I have on my shelf. Thoughts?

Dune by Frank Herbert
See, the problem is I always hear how great it is, but then I look up how long it is, and I'm like, screw that haha. Maybe one of these days. But right now I like short-ish reads, probably 300-400 pages.

There was a time when I could read 100 pages a day in high school, (I read Stephen King's the Stand in a little over a week) but now I like to pace myself. Plus I feel like I would lose interest in Dune.

OMG READ RINGWORLD.

It's one of my most beloved Scifi stories.
The scale of Ringworld is absolutely astonishing.

I read the preview, and heard the major spoiler...how many pages is it? Don't feel like buying an e-book though, as much as I love Halo.

200. I doubt most of the people complaining about it have read it outside of the big spoiler.

Foundation. It's easy reading, and enjoyable for the rollicking scope and ideas. You can bust through them all in a couple of months. Golan Trevize, the final protagonist, is awesome and I identify with his abilities. Plus the whole thing ties in neatly with his Robot series, which is doubly awesome.

I got this in the mail today :D
