Will pot ever be as widely accepted as caffeine or alcohol?

I'm talking about pot-infused drinks being served at places like Starbucks, sold as edibles or drinks in cafes or restaurants, etc.

Obviously still subject to DUI laws and such.

Doubt it will be treated as casually as caffeine, but I could definitely see it being treated like alcohol.

Alcohol seems a lot worse tbh.

Probably not in our lifetime, or at least until we're all crotchety old men. Dude Weed lmao culture is going to most likely stay relegated to low class urbanite or hillbilly areas, or be a niche item. I just don't ever see mainstream upscale restaurants offering cannibutter biscuits along with your glass of wine.

Probably. Netherlands has drug tourism because you can grab some resin cubes from the same place you get coffee (based on Father's experience).

Not sure how far away that is though, we've only recently started getting decriminalisation of posession of drugs, and only in certain places.

Legalization probably isn't too far down the road in most places. But I doubt they'll be that casual. They'll probably be treated like cigarettes.

But edibles are a different thing. People are really having second thoughts about those since they hit you like a brick wall out of nowhere. That's pretty unsafe.

I can see nationwide decriminalization happening within the next decade or two.
There is still a lot of stigma/taboo associated with pot, so I can't really see it being on the same level of acceptance as caffeine or even alcohol anytime soon.

ideally this will happen within the next 10-20 years. the negative stigma that surrounds cannabis is slowly dying now that we're learning more and more about it everyday.

i think with proper labeling requirements and regulations, it's a very real possibility that cannabis and alcohol will be treated pretty much equally. caffeine is a different story.
