Why the fuck can't I stop watching the Walking Pleb?

And no, I don't mean that in a good way.

Ever since All Mighty Cunts shafted Frank Darabont and slashed the budget in half to save a couple $$ I've been tuning into this show to see if it ever picks up. Every time, every damn time a new episode is released I actually pour in an hour of my life to watch it, hoping, expecting that there will actually be character development, advancement of the plot, and to not just be another FUCKING FILLER EPISODE.

Is it inertia? Am I really a pleb? Does anyone else watch the show just because it's routine now, and not because it's actually good?

I could think of a few ways... They sew him back together and make him into a puppet/doll, or he gets bit and they chain him up like a dog and wander around with him like a pet

- find a safe place
- someone fucks shit up and now it's not safe anymore
- on the run from the fallout
- try not to die

The show is great, and has improved a lot since the shitfest of Season 3. 4A was filler, yes, but it was necessary to correct Season 3's fuckups and had an excellent mid-season finale. The two episodes leading up to it also gave plenty of character development to the Governor, not to mention the development for Hershel across 4A in general. 4B was pretty much ALL character development. We saw Carl handling himself without help from his father, Rick transitioning from farmer to guy-who-does-what's-necessary-to-survive, Carol having to deal with the whole Lizzie situation and Tyreese losing his strength to kill. Plus, the finale was again, excellent, and they actually managed to make one of the comic's most lazy, random antagonists into a well-written, developed one. 5A was off to a great start and there was only really one episode that I'd say was filler. And 5B also had a very good start. The show really isn't that bad.

It's filled with filler episodes and fluff. It has inconsistent plots. It has pretty shit/annoying characters.
It's had one good season (season 1) and half of a season after that which was okay (season 4B).
