While I disagree with him on a few things--he's a "sex-positive" feminist, and I guess that would make me a "sex-negative" feminist--this guy is really very good at pointing out the general hypocrisy and double-standards of anti-feminists in general.

Oh, and he's the guy who made that "Fallout 3 is Garbage" video, by the way.

Here's some comments he responded to for posterity:

First of all not Hideki created Bayonnetta but Mari Shimazak. Hideki gave her complete control over the design and that is what she came up with. So if you want to talk about something get first some knowledge.
Did the character designer also write the character's lines, do the character's animations, and direct the game? I know who designed Bayonetta. That the actual design was handed off to someone else doesn't change the point.

As for the censorship. People complain when they get changed in the different versions. This is what you call artistic integrity.  The game should stay lke the artist wanted it to be and not how some other countries could or could not be offended by it.
You are describing a problem with corporation structure and capitalism  here, not with 'offense culture'. Your solution, to blindly expect companies to not care what the people they are selling their game to might think, is the funniest fucking thing in the world and I am sure it will lead you to great success in the business world.

As for Mobius. It was not too sexy it was stupid looking. Japanese people complained about it.  And they reacted. This is Self censorship.  But every version was the same. At least that i know of.
The point of this video is that things that pander to other groups, other types of people, strike us immediately as 'stupid looking'. The very idea that it could be deemed attractive by someone else strikes you as impossible, and this says more about you than me.

As for tracer. Someone complained developers reacted and made it way more playful more fitting the character. They never removed the pose because it was too sexy but because it did not fit he character. So in the end they used a famous pin up girl pose.
Now you are just describing things that have happened for no reason

I love this motherfucker.

I never really understood anti-sex feminism, just struck me as doing the same thing women as what the church had done in the past.

Because it's not about doing anything to women. It's about shunning sex as primitive and unintelligent behavior.

Not that you can't have it, or anything. Just that you recognize that it's stupid, and you don't extol it in the media.

He seemed to lose his thesis throughout the video, eventually contradicting himself by talking about how far storyless action games have come and how fans really do desire less sexual exploitation and power fantasy over meatheads and bimbos. And really, the generic alt-right/anti-feminist arguments he presents here really are the lowest hanging fruits he could go for. It feels like neither side really has an interest in understanding what the other is saying.

He presents the current state of the medium as highly exploitative, with a fanbase that doesn't care (or often supports it), when in reality it isn't, and the supposed large Bayonetta-as-feminism crowd basically doesn't even exist, and has largely been fabricated by vloggers.

No contradiction here. The industry is highly exploitative, and no one intelligent denies this. But there's two camps--those who actually care, and want to see the medium improve on an artistic level (feminists), and those who don't, and just want to see the industry regress even further into heteronormativity (morons).

These two groups contradict each other, but that doesn't make discussing the two camps contradictory.

I wish you were right in stating that the Bayonetta-is-feminist crowd doesn't exist, but you're not. Maybe lurk more?

Who are the latter? The bulk of his video discusses how games have moved away from sexist tropes; sure, he says there are people that criticize games like Gears of War as "gay" for adding emotional depth, but where are they? Like I said before, if his only targets for criticism exist on 4chan or YouTube comments, he's aiming pretty low...almost as low as people like SoA stereotyping feminists based on tumblr troll accounts, for example. It's just a weak video with a weak message. Kratos is a more relatable character than Bayonetta because Bayonetta already knows a few of the characters in the game? Come on. Claiming that she would be a stronger character if she were less sexual, is itself a form of objectification.

Well, I should hope that googling the term "god of war 3 gay" is not the extent of your research capabilities, but whatever. A bigger focus of the video was the Final Fantasy example, where they changed a male character's outfit because it was deemed too revealing by the community.

The same community that would bitch and moan about Bravely Default's localizations, or Persona's, or Fire Emblem's. That was more the focus of the video, and not the Gears example.

I don't see a point in not targeting 4chan or YouTube comments, just because they're both cancerous cesspits. They still contain genuine opinions expressed by real people, and they're not joking or trolling. Some of them are, but most of them aren't. Who do you expect him to target, anyway?

And he never said that Bayonetta wasn't relatable. Just that she's presented in a way that prominently invokes the male gaze trope--someone that you can watch dance and tittle around for your own masturbatory pleasure, rather than someone that you can embody. Seemed like a reasonable point to me.

Gonna need to explain yourself here.

He also never made that argument, by the way.
