I traveled a lot as a child, which is something I sorely miss and is the only regard in which I feel any sort of nostalgia for it.

I get this feeling I guess of subtle excitement, when I'm experiencing a moment of nostalgia that is tied to a precious childhood memory.

For example, I remember playing Smash Bros. Melee at my grandparents house with my brother, nearly every weekend for many years. I play certain levels in that game, and it's like I'm back in that 3rd floor bedroom and I'm young again. It's just....its something else.

What I think Carsonogen means is that he doesn't wanna live ignorantly. If there is more to life than video games and people not swearing, then he'd wanna see it, and now that he has, he doesn't feel like going back would be the right thing to do.
