Why do I even bother trying?

I've been trying (well aside from exploding on one particular thread today) to lighten up a bit by joking around. And of course, that fails pretty fast. Why is it when others do it to me, everyone gets a kick out of it but when I do it I pretty much am considered the asshole?

Fuck this, I'm just gonna go back to taking everything seriously again.

Because apparently I am never allowed to be myself on here.

I'd never thought I'd say this, but humor is subjective. People either laugh at the strangest shit or you never find what they find funny. There is no linear path for humor. There are people that are fucked up in the head to laugh at really fucked up things as well. Of course, none of this shit is new, but it makes fucking sense that no one shares the same humor here.
