I remember things that are currently the most useful to me.

After that, I remember more long-term memories as I did them, sorta like remembering scenes from movies, although long quotes are summarised to the point in my head.. Nothing too specific like "The colour of X person's t-shirt at the party in july, 2008". That's next-level shit, or just random things that decide to get jammed in your head for no reason.

My memory is erm... something... words...

It's very good for question recollection, so if someone asks me a question on something or about something or what happened in a location at a time (recently) it'll be bretty damn good. Shopping lists etc and just general things are fine.
The trouble I have with it is active memory, where I (personally) want to remember something and I'm trying to find the memory in my head.

A nice vast indexing system for all sorts of bits of information is great, but imagine trying to find something online without using a search engine. It's uh... not a fun task.
