Man of Steel: The way they showed Clark/Kal-El as a kid adjusting to his powers and wrestling with what he should do with them.

BvS: Bruce Wayne when he ran into the disaster. When he looked up at Superman pummeling Zod. That was good.

SS: The villains on the squad remained unrepentant. It's refreshing to see the characters not turn into heroes. They held true to form

Jacob Potila was actually a Jacob Flotilla of lies.- WarTurkey
I actually really enjoyed the MoS fight scenes. It was like live action DBZ.

the one true God is Doctor Doom and we should all be worshiping him.
It always puzzled me how it took Clark years to learn how to use his powers but Zod and his cronies figured it out in hours.

Except for the part where Jonathon Kent, a normally supportive, tolerant, and loving father scars Clark well into adulthood by urging him to hide his powers by letting him be killed right in front of him. That backstory is arguably responsible for the crappy grimdark Supes that is so lacking in confidence and experience that he causes untold collateral damage in his first fight, leading directly to the BvS plot.

Nothing on Earth could have prepared him to fight three people with the same powers he has. Also, the collateral damage was mostly Zod throwing him into shit, which is hardly Superman's fault.

Zod says it himself. He's a purepred warrior, having trained all his life and honing his senses. Clark grew up on a farm.

Yeah, on Krypton, where he doesn't have any powers.

His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.

Yeah, on Krypton, where he doesn't have any powers.
Kal-El was naturally born, so compared to Zod he had no predispositions. Zod was born to be a warrior, which (at least in film logic) means he would have the advantage in adapting to a new environment.

Still don't understand why they needed the world engine. Zod said that it's so new Kryptonians won't have to adapt, but Clark got the full treatment and seemingly didn't struggle at all after elementary school. And they become fucking gods, I think a little discomfort in the early years would be worth that.

You either die a hero or live long enough to become Mythic..

Plus after a generation or two all will be adapted

Yeah, on Krypton, where he doesn't have any powers.
As Prime Harmony said, he's genetically designed to be the ultimate kryptonian warrior. He's biologically superior to Clark, and he has had a lifetime of training in focusing on the task at hand.

Plus, when Clark first experienced his powers, he was a child. Of course his powers were extremely confusing to him, he was being emotional.

Zod on the other hand was overwhelmed at first, but was able to take a step back and not brake down and cry as he wasn't an eight year old.

emigrate or degenerate. the choice is yours
Whether you like it or not, at least it's got the balls to take risks with their characters even if they don't execute it that well, something that the MCU never seems to want to approach. Seriously, the MCU is basically "play it safe using the same cookie cutter popular formula we've been using ever since Joss Whedon got ubercucked by tumblr" the franchise.

That's one thing you can't fault the DCEU for. Say what you will about BvS, but at least it wasn't tied up in a sickly sweet bow where everything turned out alright in the end and nothing of serious impact happened to the characters.
