I can read for 1 hour, but after that it becomes dull, and I wanna do something.

For a normal person, that's only normal, but considering that I spend most of my time on the computer it's too low. halp

the instant gratification provided by the internet has conditioned you. it's hard to get into a long book, even though (if you like reading) it's worth it at the end. i guess just try to convince or force yourself to spend more time reading a book, not an internet forum.

the instant gratification provided by the internet has conditioned you.
This response is poignant because you specifically mention the word condition, a functional, multiordinal term.
Subsequent introspection then leans towards a reconditioning process on the basis of gratification, catalyzing the process of establishing functional behaviors.

You'll just have to battle through it. I'm lucky, I guess. The internet was barely a thing when I was a kid. Reading was a big part of my life from a young age.

I started reading books this year, so it's kind of new to me, but I've still managed to read quite a lot of books.

It took me a minute to understand those two sentences.

It's one of the problems of me trying to be concise, it turns into jargon and "big words," and at its worst inference structures and reference (but that's more present when I'm joking about something).
But it was understandable, good! Because it was you I was trying to appeal to most.

I wouldn't consider myself even near the appropriations of "intellectualism" or its internet counterpart. I'm a very basic person.
In fact, I never want to be considered either because both are commonly used as whole measures supposing someone's "intelligence," despite the "user" knowing little about a person's cognitive capabilities. For someone to use such language, they must ignorantly suppose things they don't actually know, and it comes off as somewhat... immature.

Spoiler
Because I have these pseudo-robot avatars I decided to change my shtick for a while (or until everyone hates it).

I was the ad-hd kid that was hyperactive (I don't have ad-hd tho). Each year I died a little on the inside until I felt mature enough to realize that knowledge is power in most cases (why I've only read books on psychology and attempted some on engineering + half-way through a book about phones before giving up).

I'm currently reading a book about the illogical sways behind some decisions.

Your recommendation came after the two books that I'm planning on reading.

After those two I'm gonna take up Swedish literature to learn words for the SAT-thingy. While reading that book, and doing the maths etc, I will sometimes read the pdf. that you recommended, but I'm not hyped for it because of the higher importance of the above, and the fact that it's a pdf. and not an actual handheld book.

Woodes Rogers, a merchant and ex-privateer who once captured a Spanish treasure galleon. He first destabilised the pirates unity by offering them all a pardon in King George's name, which some accepted and some railed against, then he sailed to the Bahamas with seven ships and 550 men and... well, that's where I'm up to. So I'll find out what happens next in a minute.

For me, digital screens strain my eyes, I can sympathize there.

It was an intense mind session yesterday when I brushed my teeth. I came up with a scenario where I finished high school one year earlier.
