Wouldn't be that fun to be a mod on here. You'd have to be diplomatic and professional all the time. Especially to the annoying plebs who don't deserve it. Essentially treat it like a second job you don't get paid for.

It actually kinda does, though. Like, really really. In real professional situations, making jokes can get you fired. I'm not saying they shouldn't have a sense of humor, but to call them "professional" is just a little bit of an overstatement. The inability to professionally deal with high-maintenance folk (such as myself) is a testament to that.
