DO NOT LET THIS FORUM STAGNATE, OR ELSE WE WILL DIE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH.

DO NOT LET THIS FORUM STAGNATE, OR ELSE WE WILL DIE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH.Question is how do we attract others to this site? This place is so tightly knit and niche that it's doubtful that anybody would really want to settle down here. We could always go the clan route and choose a common game for all of us to play. Perhaps maintain a dedicated server and Teamspeak. The MC server is a step in the right direction. All we need to do is advertise it. We could also set up TF2 and Counter Strike servers as well and be a multi-game community. The more games we play the more we are going to thrive. A dedicated Mumble or TS is necessary because you cannot have a clan without some form of global voice comms. We can prolong the lifespan of our current community by hosting weekly gamenights and community events. The more active we are the more people are going to want to join our community.Or of course we could go the 4chan route and just create epic maymays all day until we get famous...Either way this community is going to have to become more active to combat stagnation.

Official game nights also would be a great thing to host. Cheat if you're lurking will you take that idea in to consideration? Also I doubt that inside jokes such as "X is a pegboy" or "try xbox.com" will really spread outside of The Flood.

I'd be interested in looking into a TF2 server, since it's free to play and not exactly resource draining on a computer.Besides that, I think that with the MCC coming out we can maybe plan on having a game night revolving around Halo. The first game night was actually a lot of fun (sort of, most of the time), so getting a bunch of people in a lobby and going to town with bad infection maps and gimmick obstacle courses sounds like fucking heaven to me.

Will there be other official game nights on different platforms?

Will there be other official game nights on different platforms? Yeah, probably (although I don't have a PS4, so someone else would have to lead the pack with that one). I think someone made an entire spreadsheet of what consoles/games everybody had...that'd be useful, for sure. But if not XBO, then we could go with 360s and play some Reach or Halo 4 customs. There was a spur-of-the-moment small game night on Halloween on Halo 4 and it wasn't so bad.If we're going the PC, route, we'd need to decide on a pool of games that are either in abundant supply in a majority of players' library, or are cheap to buy. TF2 is a good start, but are there any other games that would work for a game night?
Cheat will tell us it was all a joke and nuke the place.
