My dad went from a POW, to a kick ass dad of 3 making over $300k.Recently got a raise to that :p. He's making more then 2x what he was making at his old job.

Internet isn't really expensive here. Most utilities - such as problems with the house are DIY. Oh yeah, we also live in a rented house.
