This is not the greatest sig in the world, no. This is just a tribute.
B.next.next launched, and I was about to be DONE with Bungie forever before I saw the new proboards offsite. When that one (and the second one) got taken down, I was one of the first to discover Sep7. Been here ever since.
I thought you left b.net because you got permabanned for impersonating yourself?
No, I just stopped naming my accounts "SecondClass" when that happened and came up with unique ones.

you're missing the central point though

what makes FPS games so appealing to little kids?

when i was ten, and my friends started playing Halo, i always thought that the only reason they played games like that was because the "big kids" (teenagers) played them

gotta look cool in front of the big kids, right

kids suck
i'm so glad i'm past that part of my life

You know, not everything people do is for status. Kids like playing FPS games because they're fun, believe it or not.

Can't really come up with anything in particular but Halo was awesome and I used to play a lot of local multiplayer with neighborhood kids or 1v2 against my brother+dad system link.  11 isn't even really that young, that's only 2 years off 13

i pick not

you can think they're fun, but ultimately, i still think kids do it for status

the games aren't marketed towards kids, at all--and it's generally frowned upon to see kids playing them, so

Pretty sure Halo 2 was the most hyped for a game release I ever was, I had it preordered on amazon or someshit and it came a day early

If it makes more sense I had videogames because my dad played them

Goodness gracious, great balls of lightning!
It all started once I got my Xbox and a copy of Halo 2 on January 7th, 2005. I started playing Halo religiously back then. Some time went by and then I was reading the Halo 2 manual. It had a description of Bungie.net, the community, and forums. I would skim through Bungie.net and look up information about Halo 3, since it was gonna release soon. I didn't make a profile on Bnet though. I was still a noob at the internet back then so I really didn't know what a email address was or anything like that when you're making a profile.

Then I got a Xbox 360 and Halo 3. Played that for a few years just like I did with the previous titles. My friends on Xbox Live had the septagon emblem next to their gamertags in the pre-game lobbies in Halo 3. They told me how to get it so I went back to Bungie.net, made a profile, and linked my gamertag with it. June 16th, 2009 was the beginning of my forum journey.

This was the very first post and very first thread I ever made. I then went on to the other forums, where I would spend the next 4 years interacting with the community. Sometime in late 2009 I joined a group on Bnet. The guys in the group were pretty cool and we'd always have gamenights in Halo 3 and other games as well. We ended up causing a lot of forum drama in the Reach Forum against that group of MLG 1337 Reach players, the infamous group known as WAY. Our group was named The Catalyst. Both of our groups constantly talked shit to each other on the forums and we were gonna have this big Catalyst vs WAY big-team-battle tournament in Reach but it never happened. I doubt anyone here remembers that but I don't blame you. It was seriously stupid and the Reach Forum was cancer.

The big update to Bnet happened and I was deciding to leave the site forever because I hated the new layout, my Fabled Legendary Member title was never gonna come back, and the group I was in was deciding to leave as well. I didn't leave and I accepted the change to the site and went on with it. The group I was in decided to leave Bungie.net but I stayed behind, riding solo just like I did when I first joined the site.

If I left Bnet, I probably would have never met some cool people like I do now on Bnet or joined/heard of Sep7agon. Members like Boomdeyadah, A Cheese Potato, Elegiac, Capiton Render, BC, Noelle, Mmmmm Napalm, BritishLemon, Gojira, Catzilla, and A Metroid to name a few were some of the coolest members on the new Bnet. It kinda felt like the old days again.

I joined Sep7agon because there were too many newfomans on Bnet and the forum layout on this site is much better.

I don't even recognize anybody on Bnet anymore besides maybe like 4 people.

Bored one day, mucking around in Off Topic on the Warframe Forums, and Nuka (I had no idea who he was at the time) posted an advertisement for this site. I figured why the hell not.

Here is Nuka's thread;
https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/302040-want-another-gaming-forum-to-waste-your-time-on/?hl=sep7agon

The reason I choose this name is because I was expecting to find a bunch of people that take themselves too seriously here, and I'd get banned for it. If I didn't choose Numb Digger, I would have chose Gammaion, an alias I use for most things.

When the first big offsite was nuked, I went back to Bnet for a short time, I didn't join here at first because I was apprehensive about it's chances.
Then two months later after this place went active, I joined up when a few people asked me to.
Now I'm the most active member here.
