what
I believe Class is referring to the discussing on women being held to a higher standard, where Class argued that women should be held to the same standard as man less it be unfair to women.
oh you mean the "discussion" where i was purposely being a foil to his own reverse chauvinism

analyzing a movie means recognizing it's not real, which you shouldn't fucking do

really all that needs to be said

you might never be able to attain that true immersion, but you should still try to
idk, I can both appreciate the skill the actors have and immerse myself in the world at the same time

That also means also realizing that some actors take me out of the world too tho

if i had said "chauvinism" you would've construed it in a way that i didn't intend, so i add "reverse" for the sake of clarity

yes it's obvious that there's no such thing, but again, it's for the sake of clarity

"Reverse chauvinism"? Eh, I agree to the assertion that all people should be held to the same standard, regardless of race of sex.

there's a reason we use the word "reverse" in these contexts

if you wanted to convey that someone was being racist against white people, how would you put it

you could just say "racist" and you wouldn't be wrong, but that doesn't necessarily get the message across

"reverse racism" is three syllables less than "racism against white people," and it conveys the same message, and only pedants would dick around over the semantics or implications of it imo

or, you know, intelligent people? It's not semantics, but you're right with the implications part

literally implies that "normal racism" can only be against black people

why not use the extra syllables in order to not be a bigot? Language is all about efficiency, and less syllables doesn't mean more efficient. You lose meaning and clarity.

I understand that much; my point is, factors such and sex and race shouldn't be taken into account when deciding the character of a person. I think that women are wrongly held to a higher standard, while men are held to a lesser standard. We shouldn't call women "bitches" for being assertive, nor men "pussies" for deferring to others. We are all people, and we should support that which makes the most sense.

Not to say you were wrong for using "reverse" in this context, I merely didn't understand the point you were meaning to convey.

the history around the word "racist" is such that the implications of white racism are nearly inseparable from the word itself, unless you clarify that white people are the ones being prejudiced against

this concept is difficult not

in the case of chauvinist, MOST PEOPLE (even you, just now) automatically assume that the word has this strict definition, so in order to convey a different meaning, i'm forced to use a stupid word like "reverse" to get my point across

then fucking clarify it

"reverse racism" doesn't. Reverse from fucking what? Normal racism? In that case, you're saying that the opposite of "reverse racism" (racism against whites) is "normal racism" (racism against blacks)

use the extra fucking syllable and say "racism against whites"

And they're wrong. Don't be wrong too.

I was wrong for thinking chauvinism was a male-focused word, that doesn't mean you need to accommodate that misconception

Verb is it true that you still use a CRT for gaming? If so post pics please
too much effort for something that's not really all that interesting tbh

but yes, i use it to play pre-HDMI era games, because HD TVs suck a fat cock at displaying old games

which is why it's SUCH A FUCKING JOKE when people try to argue that new technology is objectively superior, fuck you

Humanity; as a whole, "we" (being global society) belief that women should be more reserved, polite, less conspicuous, et all than men. That's wrong; we (as a global society) should have a singular standard by which men and women are both held to. Calling a girl "gross" for making a joke that men get a laugh at or a man "sappy" for crying at a "chick flick" is wrong.

And I know Class holds the same belief, I'm just merely trying to reiterate it in a way that you best agree with/understand.

Militant vegan

At least I would be arguing a worthwhile cause. Second wave feminism a best feminism
