No one is met entirely by niceness on the Internet, and a strong reaction makes trolls continue. Don't feed them. If you're insulted, ignore it or play it off. Bullies like an easy target.-Kind of the same point, but don't take things so seriously. I've seen you proclaim people as your Arch enemies here. If you do that, they're unlikely to ever leave you alone.
