I like how yet a mod has explained the logic behind it, but they sure can ban someone for the exact logic I challenge in this thread.

The tag is just a visual aid for people to know there will be NSFW content in the thread, as for spoilering and all that it just keeps the content from being easily visible to whoever goes in the thread. May seem redundant, but if someone clicks the wrong thread on accident they just got their eyeballs raped.

Seems more like a good case of their fault and not anyone else's problem.
