They said it was because the updated their "family identity". Does anyone know what that means?
Google has multiple divisions in their company. I think the head is called alphabet or something.

It's way better than that outdated times new roman thing they had going.
i agree that the serif typeface doesn't look good with all of their materialistic design so this change fits the theme better

Why would they change their trademark logo to this minimalist, hipster, trendy garbage that is blighting design these days?
