What's the closest you've been to death?

I climbed behind the railing at the Grand Canyon when I was 8.
Zip lining 2,000+ feet above the forest floor in Costa Rica was pretty dangerous. The belay loop popped a few times, and I nearly pissed myself in the process.
Other than that, I was dying of pneumonia at 5. I still remember the tubes they crammed into my throat.

This one time while swimming, someone landed a small blow up boat on me thanks to a wave, barely held my breath long enough for them to notice.
I've been almost hit by trucks a couple of times.
This other time I had a rope around my neck while standing on a stool, that was a close one.

I tried to do a back flip while swimming once and almost drowned.

This wouldn't have killed me, but I almost got a thumbtack in the eye once.

I got half swept out to sea once, I was at the beach in a ring and I sort of dozed off whilst looking skywards...

Next thing I know the battleship that was a long way off from the beach was quite a lot closer and the beach was quite far away <.<

So I had to like, paddle back with my legs tucked up near the ring because I didn't want to get eaten by a shark/stung by a jellyfish/eaten by a shark. Oh and Sharks, did I mention that too? Ugh. I got back to the beach fine/eventually but god damn that's why I hate open water so much <.<

oh yea i was driving my coworker and her sister to her house and like i was turning left into the neighborhood from a major street. didnt see a car coming from the intersection and he almost tboned us. damn that was close hahahahahh

Electrocuted myself twice from the mains, once when I was 2 and another 3 years ago. They say amps are what kills you, but 240 volts isn't a picnic either. I've also nearly been run over on my bike (my own fault). Oh and I choked on cornflakes once.

Really I haven't been that much at risk from death - mostly just risk of seriously injuring myself.

Almost choked to death eating a mushroom ball. Couldn't breath then calmly went from my room to my dads oddly enough not really panicking. Dad gave me the heimlich and was still choking after he did it the second time somehow i was then able to swallow it. He was the only one home that day and if he wasn't there at the time I get the eerie feeling that I would've probably died. On a lighter note while bench pressing without a spotter in my basement my arms gave out and I couldn't breath or lift it off my chest so I then rolled the bar to my stomach and tilted the bar to the floor cutting my hand and leaving red marks all over my stomach in the process

When I born I had heart complications.
A year later I came down with pneumonia.
When I was four or five, I choked on a coin and nearly died.
I've nearly been run over a few times.
I was in the area of the Oslo bombing the day before the attack.

uhh I broke my arm when I was about 3 on some bounce house. My left nut also swelled up to the size of a golfball once. I look both ways before crossing the street, so unfortunately I cannot compete here.

Born with a screwed up heart, was in the hospital for 6 months after being born. Got a lovely scar on my back as a reminder.

Almost rear ended by a car going insanely fast but he switched lanes right in time.
