It is imperative to keep prejudices aside and welcome all who want to join, regardless of whether they are a newfag or not. For a healthy membership is vital and a welcoming attitude for a good reputation.

However, the older members (most of the people here currently) have every right to command respect from desticles and newfags and in doing so, show them our ways.

Calm down, it's okay. The forum was always going to slow down after the initial influx of members. This place doesn't need to compete with Bungie.net in activity, and it would never be able for it anyway.

The problem is.....

The oldies who aren't here now have giant misconceptions about the site. They think we're just a bunch of ex-mythic circle jerking elitists. Also a lot of them don't want to come because kiyo is a mod.(which she isn't a bad mod at all)

She's a third of the mod team and a fifth of the total staff. If someone doesn't want to join because a single person fills one of 5 staff positions (the lower tier, mind you) I'm not sure how well they would do here anyway.

I don't know anyone who has a problem with Kiyo being a mod, but I doubt this fact is relevant to anyone who does.
