god damn moffat's run of the show was awful, here's hoping the new guy stops being the equivalent of 343i with LOL SO FUNNY RANDOM xDDXD and goes back to the earlier style of episodes

I gave up around the time I saw vikings with horned helmets

At that point I was basically looking for reasons to give up and that historical inacuracy has always kind of annoyed me so...

Seasons 5 and 6 were excellent but everything after that (aside from NoTD, DoTD, ToTD, Deep Breath, Listen and Heaven Sent) was lacking.

But god damn they never should have let him write the whole bloody show, turning it into some idiotic space conspiracy with riversong and all of the endless horseshit from that... ugh.

He wrote some of my favorite episodes, but also wrote the vast majority of the shitty storylines. The Daleks and Cybermen need to be out of the show forever, River Song need to never be mentioned again (though it looks like they finally killed her off in the Christmas special), the next companion needs to not be some plot-device sex symbol, and the Doctor needs to just go back to solving wacky mysteries instead of committing (and then whining about) genocide every other episode.
