I really don't see what the amount of time they were dating has to do with anything. Honestly, it's better that the guy caught it early on before he had too much of an emotional attachment to her, but aside from that, it doesn't change the fact that cheating on someone is scummy.
Please underline where I said or implied that cheating isn't scummy.

All I said was that it's not YouTube-worthy--both because of the ephemeral nature of the relationship, and because the girl's reaction was nothing to write home about. She obviously doesn't care--she wasn't embarrassed or ashamed of what she did at all.

If there were tears or some theatrical histrionics, then that might have been worth posting.
