The Nigerians are appalled that the other kingdoms would disrespect their culture to such extent.

Slavery is a vital part of Nigerian tradition. The slaves are treated very well, in fact. They are given food, water, and shelter. The slaves are all very happy and satisfied with their lives. They know they serve the holy martyr Laquiqui.

Unfortunately, the term "slavery" is often associated with systems the Nigerian government finds disgusting.

Nigerian slavery is much more civilized and kind than normal slavery.
