while censorship is terrible, that has nothing to do with the dub itself

I wasn't going to say anything about censorship. It has more to do with what voice fits the characters best. Japan just has more quality voice actors than the west at the moment and the casting is often better. However when western dubbing companies like Funi manage to get together the right group of voice actors and cast them correctly they tend to blow their Japanese counter parts out of the water.
