Spoilers for the comics obviously.

Personally I'm placing my bets on either Abraham or Glenn, what with the latter being splattered in the comics. There was some heavy foreshadowing to Abraham's death couple episodes back, but Robert Kirkman regrets killing him off in the comics so there's a high possibility he's staying for a further season or two.

The Governor and Shane did nothing wrong.

Seriously, what was the point in setting up a moral dichotomy between Rick and Shane if all they were going to do with Rick's character is turn him into The Governor 2.0.

Oh yeah, S2 happened.

Seriously though, there are plenty of options. My money's on Daryl or Glenn, probably Glenn.

Glenn: It's his comic death, and he's had a lot of development this season. I feel like him finally killing someone was like a Horcrux getting destroyed, and now he won't be immortal like he was before. He also looked at those images on the wall, kind of like looking at his death.

Daryl: Again, a character who's had a lot to do this season, as well as his relationship with Rick being developed. However, seeing as Carol is with Tobin and not with Daryl, it makes it less likely. We won't get Daryl screaming out Carol's name as he's brutally killed or anything like that.

Morgan: He's building the prison, and has the no-killing philosophy, so his death could be what compels Rick to spare Negan at the end of All Out War. I feel this death would be a bit of a cop out, though. He's not as major a character as Daryl or Glenn.

Abraham: Again, a bit of a cop out. But he's had some development this season, and he wants to start a family.

Carol: Could be her, but I doubt they'll give the death to a woman. Carol's death will probably be a suicide, at least it seems like they're building towards that.

Maggie: Again, I don't feel like the writers have the balls to kill off a pregnant woman and the general audience won't take it well, but it could be her too.

Abraham, Glenn, Maggie or Carol. I used to think it would be Daryl but he hasn't been getting that much character development or foreshadowing lately, and he's not in a real relationship. The gut wrenching part about Glenn's death in the comic is when he manages to say Maggie's name one last time as he's killed in front of everyone. Daryls still kind of a loner so I don't see anything like that happening.

Rumour has it that:
Spoiler
Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon) will be appearing in the finale. Could very well be that Daryl sees him before we dies.

Likelihood is the worst character the show's ever had, Beth, will be returning to sing a song to the victim as well.

Willing to bet that it's 90% fake. He's hardly been given any characterisation this season in comparison to Abraham and Glenn. It wouldn't resonate well with fans.

Daryl has the biggest fanbase out of all of the characters, stagnant as his character is. His death would be a massive shock to the general audience. He's like AMC's cashcow, which is why the writers haven't killed him off yet.

My money's on Daryl, with Glenn in second place. Not by much though, I just think it's definitely one of those guys.

There is a theory going around that Negan could kill multiple people. In the comics, Rick's group had only killed 10 Saviors at this point, but in the show they've already killed about 40, so Negan will need to make up for that. Negan may end up bashing Glenn's head in and saying something like "Lucille is still thirsty" before going for Daryl. Unlikely, but if it does happen that could be TWD's Red Wedding.

I mean, it'll be pretty shocking for the GA if only one of them die, but still.

Oh yeah, S2 happened.

I'd argue that it was more foreshadowing what rick and co. would become (And in the case of woodbury, how they'd be seen by outsiders) as much as pointlessness. To the saviours, the Alexandria group are a bunch of people living in a restored town with working electricity, lots of guns and (As far as they know) no reason to attack them when they could co-exist (Remember that the Saviours don't know about Alexandria's deal with hilltop).

to the prison, Woodbury was a bunch of people living in a restored town with electricity and nice things with lots of guns and absolutely no reason to attack the Prison and absolutely no reason why the two couldn't co-exist. In a way, what they're setting up with Morgan and Rick is similar to what happened with Rick and Shane (though more extreme in morgan's case), though the roles are reversed this time. It shows the character development for both parties, I'd argue; Rick has become exactly what he was fighting against. Rick was once the guy who would ask questions before shooting and try to be peaceful, much like how Morgan is now, but now he's shooting first and asking questions later in the interests of his own people like what Shane wanted to do.

I don't see it as pointlessly making Rick exactly what the villains were in the first seasons. I don't know if it's intentional, but what they're doing now has some nice parallels with Rick/ Shane and prison/ woodbury and it shows some character development on Rick's part (Unlike say, Daryl who has been stale for the entire show)

But hey, that's just a theory. A FILM THEORY. THANKS FOR WATCHING.

Spoiler
In seriousness I'm probably overanalyzing that, but I still think it's kind of interesting to see how Season 6 mirrors 2 and 3

I don't know. I mean, killing Glenn and Daryl seems like a risky move. Both of them are two of the favourites among the mass audience and I still don't buy them killing Glenn twice in one season, even if the first one was pretty obviously a fake.

I think the fakeout was a poorly executed test to see how the audience reacted to Glenn's death, it could still happen.

Only other thing I can think of is if they're trying to call the bluff of the (Mainstream/ non-comic) audience. Try to make them think he's not actually dead because they did the same thing before, only to turn out he is dead next season.

I was re watching the first few seasons and God there was some stupid shit from season 4 on I think it has been great but God it seems like seasons 1-3 the zombies were just doing random weird shit. They were able to open doors and walk in hordes for no reason and were able to be curious like what? I am so glad the show is in the place it is now. I hope Abe gets killed off in a redeeming way. I hope the chick from Ned's declassified is shown to be a more stand alone character and I hope that Negan is more than just the comics. I hope they do something new with him cause even though his comic adaptation is amazing I feel like it will not be fun to watch knowing what's coming.

Remember in S1 when a walker smashed a glass window with a concrete block?

Was I the only one who found that shit weird?
