Who else want to unashamedly steal fantanos opinions

10. Iridescence - Brockhampton

Probably their weakest project they've come out with yet but by no means is this a bad album. Kicks off to a good start with tracks like New Orleans and Thug Life but ultimately gets bogged down with inconsistencies and tracks like Something About Him and Tape, then picks itself up again into a fantastic conclusion with San Marcos.

9. TA13OO - Denzel Curry

Great trap album with a myriad of talented guest artists like JPEGMAFIA and JID. If you're sick of the wannabe Migos artists in the trap game this is a record that bucks that trend.

8. ye - Kanye West

Memery aside, Kanye pretty much owned it this year in spite of his public spazzes. ye might not be MBDTF or Life of Pablo tier but it definitely reminds us that Kanye still has a musical presence that isn't going away any time soon.

7. You Won't Get What You Want - Daughters

друг

6. MGMT - Little Dark Age

Never thought I'd see the day were MGMT made my top 10 let alone a favourite album list. Incredibly solid electro pop album that knows what it needs to be and doesn't try to overexert itself with pretentiousness of their previous records.

5. Joy as an Act of Resistance - Idles

Sonically astounding punk album with tasty riffs, raw vocals and a theme that would make Verb cum in his pants.

4. Veteran - JPEGMAFIA

DAAAMN PEGGY

3. 2012 - 2017 - Against All Logic

Probably one of the greatest house records of the decade. Nicholas Jaar proving once again to be one of the most underrated artists in the genre.

2. Oxnard - Anderson Paak

Anderson Paak dropped one hell of a Soul Rap album this year, with features like Pusha T, Q Tip and Kendrick Lamar accentuating the glossy funk production even further.

1. KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS

FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Kid Cudi and Kanye flexing us all with probably the greatest musical comeback of the year, somehow managing to gel psychedelia, grunge and pop rap into a short but sweet 22 minute gem of a record.

Daytona also gets an honourable mention for kicking off one of the best rap beefs in years.

The angel agreed to trade a set of white wings for the head of another demon. Overjoyed, the demon killed one of his own and plucked the head right off its still-warm body.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.
Not a whole lot of albums in my radar, barely 5. Picked up Zeal & Ardor from Sep7ony Famthano though which has consumed most of my listening hours.

This is easily their best album since Black Holes and Revelations.

This is the only album that's released this year I've listened to though. Most of my listening has been catching up on some older stuff. In terms of the stuff I've first listened to this year, ...Like Clockwork I've found to be pretty much endlessly re-listenable.

Excuse me, I'm full of dog poison
I haven't listened to anything released this year except Wayne's new album, and I only listened to a couple tracks.

How do people consume music nowadays?

I tend to use Spotify as I like to listen to music while doing work on my PC, so it's pretty convenient (moreso than using Youtube). But I tend to still buy the albums I listen to a lot, partially because I like a physical collection and partially to support the artists more.

Yeah I've kinda got stuck in a rut of listening to the same albums I've owned for years. I'll give Spotify another try.

I can't use an image in my signature? That blows, you all blow.
I really only listened to a few new albums this year. All hit the spot fairly well

Judas Priest's Firepower was a killer album
I love Black Label Society's Grimmest Hits
Black Stone Cherry put out a pretty good new Album in Family Tree
God Smack's new album is half decent

Album of the year for me was FIREPOWER. Halford still kills it. It was a killer album.

But yeah no for a real answer for me, new Eels was cool but could have dropped a few tracks
Never Gonna Die was basically just more of the same Pennywise but I dig that
Lorelei bretty much made me nut the first time  I heard it and though Cluch will never have a song that tops Impetus, they made some good shit with Book of Bad Decisions. Probably my favorite new album I've listened to this year. Hot Bottom Feeder is basically a crab cake recipe too. What the fuck is more stoner rock than that?

And uh... yeah that's about it.
