Realism. I'm not trying to persuade or dissuade anyone, I'm just saying how I see it, and I don't want people to get their hopes up over nothing.

What hopes would there be to get up over nothing? If anything, maybe you should take a second look at why you write. Ask yourself why. What did you start writing for? What do you hope to gain? What do you want to achieve?

Because I started with one, singular goal in mind. I wanted to fill the void for people out there like me. And over time, as I changed and evolved, my writing did as well. But my goal is still there. Except that now, I enjoy everything I make. I want to create for the sake of creating. Telling a story. It doesn't matter to me how many people like what I create. I do it for myself. Not for fame, money, or anything but me.

And over the years, I've been steadily attracting people to me. In fact, last night, as I checked through my inboxes, one of my favorite artists approached me, said they liked my stories, and would be willing to commission me to write for them.

The point to all this is, you need to look at where you want to go. Me? I just want to create and bring a spark of life and a piece of myself out into the things I dream up.

But I know. It's hard for a writer in today's world. Unless you're a journalist or a reviewer or something, nobody seems to appreciate stories anymore. Nobody has time to read, or wants to, when they're sucked into everything else. But I do. Show me what you have.

 I'm in chorus class right now, and while I read this they were singing something that sounded vaguely religious. I'm really glad that you're back, and that you're alright, Sandtrap. I think your story and your struggles and your overcoming of them is really inspirational. Thank you.

I've been a negative ass to a lot of people lately about what and who they are, for things I truly don't care about to just get a rise out of them.  Thank you for creating this thread and making me realize how I've been acting.  Great words as always my friend.

I actually got on here to read your returning thread with you and Quiets picture because I couldn't finish reading it earlier.  Then I found this!
