Coke up is a bit off there. Baked or drunk af twenty year olds is more accurate. Also they don't do anything but lose their shoes in the crowd and do pot zombie things like trying to engage in photosynthesis in a dimly lit stage-house.

it's funny how no one can just admit that what they're doing is stupid--that would be fine, i wouldn't even be really arguing, but they seem to be under the impression that it's safe, and because it's "fun", that removes the danger of it

I wasn't aware that dimly lit means pitch black. Also stage lights usually help, they pretty much light up the stage and the immediate crowd (except on camera, unfortunately) Entschuldigung, won't happen again massa.

I totally agree that it's dangerous. Now the willingness to participate in it can be like people getting drunk. It's not the smartest decision, probably dangerous, but they are willing to try to have a degree of fun while risking their safety.

Stupid? Yep. But that's the reasoning I suppose, people want to have fun or be included in what seems to be fun.

i'd really like to go to another festival sometime soon but, like you said, they are really pricey. And considering the fact that I'm currently unemployed l won't have much extra cash to throw at festival tickets.

And no, getting hurt in a mosh is never your fault. That was easily the dumbest thing said in this thread last night. It's only your fault in the sense that you shouldn't have entered a moshpit in the first place, but ultimately, people should just be smart enough not to slam into each other while in a crowd. The fault is on the person who hurt you. Obviously.
