The fact that you listed any of the prequels invalidated your opinion. At least it was III. Had you listed I or II in your top 3, I would ask if you remember the horrific accident that led to your brain injury.

The proper order is: V, IV, VII, VI and burn the remaining 3 on a dung heap.

I watched Chris Stuckmann's review on the prequels and I had NO IDEA that Hayden was on an episode of Goosebumps, the one with the dummy coming to life. I didn't notice until he pointed it out and I watched that episode a bunch of times as a kid.

And holy mother of god his acting in that episode...

Good movie. I liked it. Not amazing, but a step in the right direction after I through III.

My only gripe was how the plot was basically the same thing as IV, just different characters.

None of the villains in episode 7 are as good as any of the prequel/original villains. Even if they were more 2 dimensional in some cases. Maybe since Kylo Ren is struggling with light and dark it's more of a wavering deal, but that general for the First Order doesn't even touch someone like Tarkin.

But Hux's speech...still, I agree he is less intimidating than Tarkin. You learn more about Hux from the Visual Dictionary. Basically he's a spoiled brat and his father went to the Imperial Naval Academy, and he wants to live up to his image.

In Hayden's defense, the writing didn't exactly know how to properly capture a humans emotions. Or make them talk human actually.

The facial features he did to signify his anger were well done if you ask me.

Ewan Mcgregor is the only character from the prequels who was actually top tier (I don't count Liam because he dies in the first awful movie). In fact I'd go so far to say he's one of the better characters in the entire series when compared to others. Even old Ben.
