Season 5 had maybe five scenes that were accurate to the source material. Using it to predict what will happen in the books is kind of redundant at this point.

That being said, I still wouldn't count on Stannis surviving the series, but it seems like he has the upper hand in the Battle of Winterfell and I doubt he's going to randomly decide to burn his daughter.

this. game of thrones the tv show is glorified fanfiction at this point.


in any case, stannis is much more well-prepared for the battle of winterfell in the books. he's seemingly got a great plan worked out (https://cantuse.wordpress.com/2014/08/28/the-night-lamp-revisited-the-wrath-of-the-old-and-the-new/). shireen is probably screwed; i think mel is gonna do it behind stannis's back in order to help revive jon.
