In exactly a week I'll be getting my gallbladder removed. I've been dealing with "gallbladder attacks" for about a year now and it was decided that it needed to be removed to resolve this issue. Though I'm nervous since this is the first time I'll be going under the knife for anything, I'm excited that I'll no longer have to deal with occasional 20-30 minute long painful attacks in my abdomen and back.

With that being said, have y'all gone through surgery before? If so, what was it for?

The angel agreed to trade a set of white wings for the head of another demon. Overjoyed, the demon killed one of his own and plucked the head right off its still-warm body.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.

Long live NoNolesNeckin.

Ya fuckin' ganderneck.
I had to have my gallbladder removed in 2013. I wasn't having any "attacks" and I didn't have any stones, but it was literally not functioning at all. The couple weeks after was pretty unpleasant but not unbearable. Your abdomen is really sore and it fells like you have a balloon trapped inside of you because they have to literally inflate your gut to do the surgery and it takes a while for all the air to leave your body.

Unfortunately for me, my being as sick as I have been for 7 or so years now was not due to my gallbladder so having it removed did not help me at all, and it might have even made things worse.

Also, be prepared to get the shits anytime you eat greasy foods or anything high in fat for at least a few months.

I have a gingevectomy tomorrow. Nervous, but it's a super simple procedure. Now the maxillary impaction, that I'm terrified for. I hope they at least let me keep the bone

Nah. There's a possibility I could keep the gallstones though, but it's not something I plan on doing.

Sorry to hear about your sickness. I sincerely hope everything gets better for you eventually.

And thanks for the heads up about greasy/fatty foods. It'll be a little difficult trying limit what I eat, but I'm sure I'll manage.

I had a brain scan a while back. It wasn't the most pleasant experience I've had. The noise of the machine completely drowns out the music they play for you, and for some reason I got involuntary twitching all down my back whenever one particular part of the MRI was doing its thing. You can imagine the imaging was disrupted by my twitching and I got to repeat that exact segment of the process. Fun.

I still haven't gotten the results yet but no news is good news I guess.

I got the gingivectomy, it really wasn't all that bad.  What was bad was how much my mouth and fave burned once all the numbing wore off

I've had my right ear practically removed because of a bad ear infection when I was a child. My hearing in that ear is still worse to this day.

I had my wisdom teeth taken out about three weeks ago, it went well.

the one true God is Doctor Doom and we should all be worshiping him.
Lenses removed due to cataracts, pins in my right arm after I broke it, and wisdom teeth removed.
